Future Gallery has its own MCP server and REST API. With a personal key, an AI app can find your backed-up photos, look at them, make edited copies (Plus and Premium) and tidy up your Trash, all from a chat.
1. Make a key
Open the Future Gallery Android app → Backup → Developer & AI access → Create key.
Choose what the key may do: see photos, add photos, edit photos, move to Trash.
Copy the key (it starts with fgk_). It is shown only once. You can make a new secret or delete the key at any time.
2. Connect an AI app (MCP)
MCP server address: https://gallery.talkember.site/api/mcp
Send your key in the header "Authorization: Bearer fgk_…". If the app only asks for a link, use the address with the key at the end:
https://gallery.talkember.site/api/mcp?key=fgk_your_key
Claude (desktop or web): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the link with your key.
ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode → Create → paste the link with your key.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http future-gallery https://gallery.talkember.site/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer fgk_your_key"
Cursor, VS Code and others: add an HTTP (streamable) MCP server with the address and header above.
What the AI can do
Try asking: “Show me my photos from last December”, “Make this photo black and white”, “Crop the top half of this picture”.
get_account: plan, storage used, number of photos and videos.
search_photos: find photos by date, type, file name, Trash or edited copies.
view_photo: look at a photo (a preview up to 1024 pixels).
edit_photo: rotate, flip, crop, resize, brightness, contrast, saturation, black and white, blur, sharpen. Always saved as a new copy; the original never changes. Plus and Premium only.
move_to_trash and restore_from_trash: Trash keeps items for 30 days. Nothing is ever deleted for good through a key.
get_plans: plans, prices and how to upgrade.
3. REST API
Base address: https://gallery.talkember.site/api/v1 — send "Authorization: Bearer fgk_…" with every request. Answers are JSON.
GET /account — your plan and storage.
GET /photos?from=2025-12-01&to=2025-12-31&kind=photo&name=IMG&limit=30&cursor=… — newest first; use nextCursor for more.
GET /photos/{id}, /photos/{id}/file, /photos/{id}/thumb — details, the file, a small preview.
POST /photos — multipart upload: a "meta" field ({"fingerprint":"any-unique-text"}) then "file". Same rules as the app (free: compressed photos up to 2048 pixels).
POST /photos/{id}/edit — JSON like {"rotate":90,"crop":{"left":0,"top":0,"width":1,"height":0.5},"brightness":1.2}. Plus and Premium.
POST /photos/trash and /photos/restore — JSON {"ids":["…"]}.
GET /plans — plans and prices.
Limits and safety
Free: 500 requests a day. Plus and Premium: 5,000 requests and 100 edits a day.
A key works only for the API and MCP, never for your account settings, payments or Locked Folder.
Keep your key private. If it leaks, make a new secret in the app; the old one stops working at once.
